Coelophysis

Coelophysis

Today’s Prehistoric Beast is the Coelophysis, which no matter how hard I try I always spell incorrectly. Thanks google for bailing me out of a guaranteed spelling jam. Anyway, back to task, the Coelophysis was a small carnivorous lightly built primitive theropod Dinosaur that lived in the late Triassic period. Some of the earliest and well preserved fossils of this animal were originally interpreted as it having cannibalistic tendencies but this has come into question in recent years. True or not it still gives off a strong personality characteristic that is hard to live down.
